As part of its global diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor, an Indian All-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha met top Indonesian lawmakers in Jakarta to reinforce India’s firm stance against terrorism and garner international support.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with Muhammad Husein Fadlulloh, Vice-Chairperson of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation, and Muhammad Rofiqi, Chairperson of the Indonesia-India Parliamentary Friendship Group. The Indian representatives emphasized India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and the need for united international resolve against terror networks, particularly those backed by state actors.
In response, the Indonesian leaders reaffirmed their support for India’s anti-terrorism position, stating that “terrorism is against humanity” and emphasizing the importance of dialogue over violence.
The Indian Embassy in Jakarta shared updates of the meeting on social media platform X, highlighting Indonesia’s condemnation of terrorism and its alignment with India’s commitment to peace and security. The embassy wrote: “Indonesian side conveyed that we condemn terrorism and believe in dialogue for solving problems, not terrorism… supporting India’s zero-tolerance approach.”
Earlier, Jha posted a greeting to the Indonesian people, underscoring the deep civilizational ties between the two democracies and the shared commitment to global peace and security.
“India and Indonesia—two great democracies with deep civilizational ties—stand united in our pursuit of peace, cooperation, and global security,” he stated on X.
The delegation’s visit to Indonesia follows earlier stops in Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, as part of India’s international campaign to expose and isolate Pakistan for its role in sponsoring terrorism.
Alongside Jha, the multi-party delegation includes MPs Aparajita Sarangi (BJP), Abhishek Banerjee (TMC), Brij Lala (BJP), John Brittas (CPI-M), Pradan Baruah (BJP), Hemang Joshi (BJP), Salman Khurshid, and Mohan Kumar.
The ongoing visits aim to build a global consensus against terrorism and reinforce India’s proactive foreign policy in safeguarding its national and regional security interests.
